Vintage 1959 Gibson ES-175D Sunburst Electric Guitar With OHSC

We have you an amazing and iconic vintage guitar here, the Gibson ES-175D from 1959.  Yes, 1959 - one of the most storied and referenced years in the world of guitars, with a certain mystical element to the year.   We were excited to take this one in, and amazed at how it looks, plays and sounds.

The Gibson ES-175D is one of the the most iconic hollow body guitars. This beautiful instrument features a maple top, back and side, with an illustrious sunburst gloss finish. This is the dual pickup ES-175 and this particular one features Mid-60s T-top pickups with reproduction "unplated" covers. Now, this being a vintage instrument, it definitely has some honest player wear. There is a small repaired crack on the F-hole on the bass side. It has been refretted with medium jumbo frets perfect for bending. The nut has been replaced. There are several recent additions such as reproduction Tuners, pickguard, neck pickup ring, and switch tip. 

Given these changes on the guitar, we're called this a true "players" vintage guitar.  No, it's not all original - if it were, the price would be a lot higher!  It also may not play as good.  Bottom line, this is a fantastic instrument, part of Gibson's history, and true score.  It's in very good condition and has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  Be sure to check out all of the photos to see the condition and the beautiful patina.  We love how this guitar has aged over the last 60+ years.  Also, it comes with both the original hardshell case, as well as a newer, aftermarke hardshell case for better protection.
