The Story

There is nothing like a Gibson ES-335 and this one is a real knockout! From 1988 this Gibson is everything you want from the iconic ES-335. The guitar is a surefire winner full of class, playabilitiy and tones.

It's built with a resonant laminated arched maple body with its classic "F"-holes. The double bound body has the classic Sunburst finish with a teardrop center. There is is set mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard and comfy neck profile and of course pearloid dot inlays.

The ES-335 comes packed with a pair humbuckers, with a HB-R in the neck and HB-L for the bridge. These pickups provide the perfect punch and power for any style of music, especially with this semi-hollow body, you can crank up the gain. The woody tones of this guitar classic are legendary as this instrument has been a go-to for countless artists, studios, and recordings.

You of course have the classic stopbar tailpiece with tune-o-matic bridge for excellent sustain, stability, and intonation. Everything is original on the guitar and functions perfectly. The techs in our shop have set it up to play perfectly.

This classic Gibson ES-335 is in excellent condition, especially considering it's age. It's been played, of course, so there are finish marks but nothing that stands out, even in the close-up images. It's a clean guitar. The original hardshell case included as well as the original paperwork. For anyone wanting a sunburst ES-335, from a great era of Gibson, this is a fantastic score right here.
