Pre Owned 07 Fender Special Edition Koa Stratocaster Light Burst Modded With Bag

In 2007, Fender released the Special Edition Koa Stratocaster - the first time they had used the highly sought-after exotic wood outside the Custom Shop.  Featuring a Koa top on a basswood body, a birdseye maple neck and a rosewood fretboard, it was sure to catch attention.  Now we have a modified version that will definitely turn heads.

This instrument is from the personal collection of the late Brad Pie who played guitar in the 1990’s with the great Johnny Otis.  Along with Johnny’s sons - Shuggie Otis (Guitar) and Nicky Otis (Drums) - Brad contributed guitar to the 1992 Grammy-Nominated “Spirits of the Black Territory Bands” by the Johnny Otis & His Orchestra group.  Many of the instruments from Brad’s collection are uniquely modified and come with various customized accessories. This particular instrument comes with the following:

The guitar has been decked out with gold hardware, and customized with an aftermarket pickguard, knobs and bullet switch tip.  A gig bag is included.  Inside of it you'll find a nice leather strap, cable and clip-on tuner.

Other features include Seymour Duncan AlNiCo Pro II pickups, a two-point synchronized tremolo and pearl dot inlays.

The guitar was built in 2007, is in excellent condition, and has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  You can be sure that this is the only one out there that looks like this!
