The Story

With its unique design and its jumbo body, you can already expect this guitar to deliver lush sound and tons of volume. Featuring a solid spruce top and flame maple back and sides, the GJ72CE-12 is a commanding acoustic/electric 12-string guitar that is built to perform and one that produces all the lush, robust sound that players expect from a jumbo 12-string guitar.
This instrument is from the personal collection of the late Brad Pie who played guitar in the 1990’s with the great Johnny Otis. Along with Johnny’s sons - Shuggie Otis (Guitar) and Nicky Otis (Drums) - Brad contributed guitar to the 1992 Grammy-Nominated “Spirits of the Black Territory Bands” by the Johnny Otis & His Orchestra group.
It features a slim mahogany neck with 12"-radius bound rosewood fingerboard that provide great feel and playability. The onboard Taka mine TK-40D preamp system gives you a built-in tuner, three-band EQ and gain controls, mid contour switch, notch filter and EQ bypass switch for top shelf versatility and sound quality. And if that wasn’t enough, the GJ72CE-12 also features a synthetic bone nut, split bridge saddle, rosewood head cap, abalone rosette, abalone "reversed mountain" inlay at the 12th fret, gold die-cast tuners with pearl buttons, and a beautiful gloss finish.
The guitar has been setup by the techs in our shop (especially important for a 12 string like this). It's in super excellent condition. If you're in the market for a nice 12-string acoustic on a great deal, you've found it!
