Used 2003 Fender American Stratocaster Seymour Duncan Pickups Olympic White With OHSC

We just took in this nicely upgrade American Series Strat, in good condition and playing great.  It's the complete package with the original hardshell case.  We get a lot of used Strats in here, and this is one of the better deals we've had on one in a long time.

The main reason is the pickup set.  This one was upgraded with a set of Seymour Duncan Classic Stack (STK-S4) pickups.  Hand built in Santa Barbara, these pickups are designed to give you a hum free experience while retaining the tone of a vintage Strat.  They have all of the sparkle and chime you want, without the noise you don't want.  Seymour Duncan developed a special bottom coil that actually injects negative hum into the pickup circuit, and they fine tune each pickup for maximum noise cancellation.  The result is incredible.  The bridge pickup is wound slightly hotter, to provide an even balance and out output between positions.  And, the middle pickup is RWRP (reverse wound/reverse polarity) to achieve quietness in positions 2 & 4.

The guitar itself is a truly classic Strat, made in America.  Introduced at Summer NAMM of 2000, Fender's newly-minted American Series Stratocaster saw numerous minor changes to the American Standard Strat's platform, from pickguard and tuners to newly-designed pickups and the overall feel of the neck, with slightly rolled edges to make for a more "broken-in" feel. Once again, the guitars were offered with both alder and ash bodies, maple or rosewood fingerboards, and a plethora of finish options new and old.  

This one features an alder body, maple neck, and is in the classic color of Olympic White - this is the iconic look.  It has a smooth playing Modern C neck shape, 22 frets, and a 9.5" radius.  It's easy to play, and bending up high is no problem.

This one is in good condition - there's a decent ding on the bottom (see photos) but nothing major.  It's been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  The original hardshell case is included - and as an added bonus, so are the original pickups.
