Vintage 1961 Fender Jazzmaster Refinished Refret 14" Radius w/ OHSC

Up for sale is a beautiful example of a vintage '61 Fender Jazzmaster, with tons of personality! The refinished body has an incredible resonance to it. Lively, loud, and full sounding unplugged. Plugged in it has that classic Jazzmaster sound. Great, great tone, warm with some boosted mids, as Jazzmasters tend to have. Very rounded "jazzy" sound, and Jazzmasters being as versatile of an instrument as they are, would work great for a variety of music and playing styles. The neck pickup is very warm, and great for well...Jazz! Or Blues. The bridge pickup is very similar to a Tele, without quite as much bite.

The nitro refin was done long enough ago that it looks as if it is original to the untrained eye. Looks amazing, and the wear on it makes one wonder, what was the previous owner thinking/doing playing in a way that would wear the finish in such a way! Bizarre!!! The neck has been re-fretted with vintage style frets, and the slab Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard radius has been changed from a 7.25" to a whopping 14" radius! Somewhat unorthodox for a Jazzmaster, but plays very, very well and smooth!!! Great feel!!!

 The brown case has been painted green for reasons unknown, and is original as well.
